Djangocon 2013

September 2-7, 2013

Call for Submissions

Thanks for visiting. The DjangoCon call is now closed.

DjangoCon US 2013 will be held in Chicago from September 2nd through the 7th, and the all members of the Django, Python and related communities are encouraged to submit their proposals for sessions.

The Short Version

45 minute talks and half- or full-day tutorials about Django and related technologies. The deadline is June 25h, and is firm. Submit a talk via your dashboard.

A Little More Detail, Please

We're looking for high-quality talks and tutorials about any aspect of Django: Core development, add-ons, case studies, victories, and even the interesting defeat. Tell us what we don't know, save us from wandering into the forest or shaving a herd of yaks. The more hands-on, the more real-life, the more applicable, the better. We want to hear from the person who was hip-deep in the code.

Who should submit proposals?

Anyone. If you are brand new to Django, we want to hear from you; if you have been working with it for years, we want to hear from you, too. First-time speakers are welcome; although good presentation is important, we prefer great content to slick materials (although we never argue with getting both!).

Diversity

We particularly encourage members of less well-represented groups to submit proposals.

Sounds great! What do I do?

First, sign up for a new account or log in to your existing DjangoCon US account - you may also use the links on the "Account" menu on any page of the site. Once logged in, proceed to your account dashboard and create a speaker profile. When your speaker profile is completed, submit one or more proposals!

The deadline was June 25th. Thanks to everyone who submitted proposals. See you in Chicago!
