Welcome to DjangoCon 2012

Call for proposals open today!

Welcome back everybody! In 2012, DjangoCon.US is hitting the ground running with a shiny new site and a call for proposals that is open today.

Just in case you haven't heard, this year's DjangoCon.US will be happening in our nation's capital, Washington D.C. on September 3-8 (more info available on our venue page.

Now on to the big news: We are now accepting talk proposals for this year's conference.

Have you been doing awesome (and slightly scary) things with class based views? Do you know the ORM inside out? Do have security practices tighter than Fort Knox? We want to hear about it! Give a talk at DjangoCon.US and share your knowledge with the wider community. We're looking for talks on all topics related to Django at all experience levels.

Starting today you can submit your talk proposal right here on the website and we will be accepting proposals until Saturday 6/16. The earlier you get your proposal in the better as it gives the programming more time to provide you with feedback on your proposal.

If you have any questions about the talk proposal process, feel free to contact the Program Chair: Sean O'Connor.

P.S. If you're interested in participating in the talk selection process join us over on the djangocon-organizers mailing list!
